TRUJILLO, PERU. Rossy Félix won the gold in the Female Fencing category, while in badminton she ensured two bronze medals in yesterday’s session of the Bolivarian Championship Games. The competition took place in the Luz Marina Neyr Coliseium of Moche, ended with a 15-10 score in favor of Félix, gold medalist of the Central American and Caribbean Games of Mayaguez of 2010.
On another note, Rafael Western won his second bronze medal in the Male Fencing category.
Badminton wins the bronze
Dominican participant Berónica Vivieca secured her bronze medal upon besting 2-0 versus Luz Zomoza, from Perú, in the final quarter of the Badminton Tournament taking place in the Miguel Grau Coliseum in Callao, Lima. The games finished with 21-18 and 21-12 in favor of the Dominican athlete.
Meanwhile, the male team formed by Nelson Ozuna and Alberto Raposo, also secured their bronze upon defeating 2-1 versus Wilmer Ramírez and Jesús Sánchez of Venezuela, with a score of 21-14 and 21-15.
Nin finishes fourth
Audris Nin fnished as 3rd runner up in the Individual Category for the Gymnastics tournament hosted at the Miguel Grau del Callao Coliseum in Lima, Perú.
Nin made a performance which earned him the 4th place by finalizing with 80,000 points. Colombians Jossimar Calvo and Jorge Giraldo, won gold and silver with 90,100 and 87,000 points respectively. Bronze was earned by Adickson Trejo from Venezuela.
